– stated or described to be such; presumed “He is the alleged thief”

allegation /ˌælɪˈɡeɪʃən/ (noun)
– the act of alleging; an unproved statement or assertion, especially one in an accusation.
“The allegation is that he stole their car”
“It’s an allegation; it might not be true”
“He made allegations of corruption in the company”
